Last week we shared about how we’re working to help women who live in extreme poverty in rural villages gain access to and understand the need for prenatal care. Through the efforts of our project, which includes educating women about obstetric fistulas, we’ve seen a decrease of fistulas allowing women to remain active, healthy, contributing members of their community.
At the launch of our campaign last week to raise the funds to provide two new ultrasound machines, you came together and helped almost reach our goal!
So… we’re raising the bar with a new goal of $6,000 which will provide not two but three ultrasound machines!
Together we can provide a safe and healthy birth for women in Uganda.
