A Look Inside Our Partners Facing COVID-19

As COVID-19 has changed many things for us here in the United States and caused much loss for so many, we have been bracing to hear the impact on our partners in Africa as this pandemic reached them too. We’ve rounded up some recourses for you on the impact of these challenging times within communities throughout Africa below. As a response, we are ensuring we provide emergency funding as needed for our partners to continue their on-the-ground support for many in Africa.

Like many African countries now making use of Ebola and Influenza preparedness to step up their COVID-19 response, Tanzania is tapping into the skills of health workers already knowledgeable in infectious disease control, established influenza sentinel surveillance system and repurposing facilities to tackle the new virus.
