From April 10-19, Microfinancing Partners in Africa warmly welcomed four remarkable women from Africa, affectionately known as ‘Sandals on the Ground.’ These women, dedicated to transforming the lives of those living in extreme poverty through income-driven initiatives, brought stories of strength, resilience, courage, and perseverance that left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of meeting them. Interviews or appearances with these inspiring individuals could be arranged by contacting Lea Brinson.
A Night of Warmth and Celebration
As attendees arrived at the Gala on April 13th, they were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an evening of connection and celebration. The African market, brimming with vibrantly handmade goods, provided guests with the opportunity to support local artisans while contributing to the mission of MPA. Stations showcasing partner programs offered insight into the tangible impact of attendees’ generosity on communities in need.
Keynote Speeches and Presentations
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to insightful keynote speeches and presentations from distinguished speakers and visitors from Africa. These presentations illuminated the organization’s mission and highlighted the transformative power of microfinance. Success stories and program impacts were shared, providing inspiration and motivation to all in attendance.
