20 Stories of MPA

20 Years. 20 Stories. Brighter Tomorrows.
One Opportunity Can Change Generations.
Imagine having the determination to build a better life for your family, but not the resources to make it possible.
For 20 years, your generosity has helped change that. Through MPA, families across Africa have gained access to opportunities that create sustainable livelihoods, greater independence, and brighter futures.
Because one opportunity doesn’t just change one life. It can change generations.
20 Years. 20 Stories. Countless Possibilities.
Behind every gift is a person with dreams, determination, and a story worth telling.
This November and December, we’re sharing 20 stories celebrating the resilience of the people and communities you help empower. Stories of families building businesses, overcoming challenges, and creating opportunities that extend far beyond themselves.
These aren’t just stories of poverty. They’re stories of what’s possible when someone is given a chance.
Your Gift Creates a Ripple That Lasts.
A loan can help a parent build a business. That business can provide food, education, and stability for their children. When the loan is repaid, those resources can help another family begin their journey.
That’s the power of your generosity. One gift can keep creating opportunities long after it’s given.
The Next Story Begins with You.
Twenty years of generosity have brought us here, but there are still families waiting for the opportunity to build a better future.
Your year-end gift can help write the next story, opening doors for families today and creating possibilities for generations to come.
Be part of the next 20 years. Give the gift of opportunity today.

In 2003, Sister Toni Temporiti traveled across Africa on a journey that would change the course of her life.
Along the way, she met women who worked tirelessly to care for their families, yet faced unimaginable choices. How far would they have to walk for water? How would they find enough food for their children?
Their conversations stayed with her long after she returned home.
She realized that what many families needed wasn’t charity alone. They needed access to an opportunity — a small loan, the resources to start a business, and the chance to build a sustainable future.
In 2006, that belief became Microfinancing Partners in Africa.
What began with one woman’s determination to make a difference grew into a mission connecting generous supporters with local partners and communities across Africa.
Twenty years later, that same belief continues to guide us: poverty should never determine a person’s potential.
And the ripple that began two decades ago is still growing.
