Cow Program

The gift of a cow changes everything for an impoverished farming family. A living loan of a pregnant cow will produce milk to improve the family’s nutrition as well as enough to sell for extra income and savings, provide manure for fertilizer and biofuel to power a light (for evening studies) and cookplate (to eliminate firewood). The living loan is repaid when the first female calf is passed on to the next family.
