Francis Njoroge

Project Info

Project Description

Francis joined Yawezekana SACCO in December of 2015. He is one of the most successful members in the SACCO since then.  Before he joined the SACCO, his business was ineffective and hardly made any profits. After joining the SACCO and working towards saving enough to receive a loan, he was able to borrow KSh10,000 ($99 USD).

“I was able to purchase shovels, wooden poles and other building materials that I have been able to sell to contractors.”

Along with selling general construction materials, Francis today rents out larger construction machinery and tools that are needed for home or apartment builders.

Francis now pays for the workshop he rents and takes care of his family’s expenses each month with far less stress and worry.

Since the demand is high for construction machinery and tools, additional loans have helped him to expand his business. He sees this as an opportunity for further growth.

“I envision a bright future since I will continue saving with the SACCO and expanding my business.”

As the father of two children, Francis ultimate dream his is working towards is to be able to buy some land where he will build a home and a workshop.
