3 Ways to Make a Difference Before 2017 Ends

As we near the final months of 2017, there’s still plenty of time to give a hand up from poverty to possibility.

Throughout this year, we have worked to strengthen our existing projects in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as are working to expand our projects into new regions of Africa.

Offering support for organizations providing microfinancing opportunities for individuals and families alike throughout Africa is no small task. It is with your support and generosity that we are able to continue the great work to empower those living in extreme poverty to lift themselves up with dignity through access to services and education.

We’ve rounded up three ways you can join in before the end of the year and have your donation matter:

1. Make your donation count and have it matched dollar-for-dollar through September 30th.

MPA launched our largest fundraising campaign to date and have exceeded the $100,000 goal. Each donation made will still be matched through September 30th by our board of directors.

2. Shop for change as the holiday season approaches.

Each year, MPA encourages a different kind of gift giving. Instead of giving one more fruitcake or an ugly sweater, give a gift that provides hope and radically changes a family who is struggling to live on less than $1.25 per day.

We offer a variety of alternative gifts for purchase at a number of price points. Each donation made in honor of your gift recipient will be given directly towards an individual in need.

3. Make a planned gift to support the mission of MicroFinancing Partners in Africa.

As the year-end nears, give a gift of stock to partner with our microfinance projects.  An IRA, 401(K), 403(b) or another qualified retirement plan has tax benefits for accumulating assets. Please contact your retirement plan company to request a change in beneficiary designation if you would like to leave your retirement account to MPA.
