Volunteer Opportunities

Much of what we support in Africa can’t happen without gracious volunteers that help us here in the US. We’re in constant need of volunteers to help:

Other Ways To Give

Planned Gift

Making a planned gift is a special way to support the mission of MicroFinancing Partners in Africa and to leave a lasting legacy “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” – Nelson Henderson. Bequests are one of the most common and easiest ways to leave a legacy gift. It is also a great way to reduce estate taxes. Your estate will receive an estate tax deduction for a portion of the gift made by the estate to charity. The following are ways to include MPA in your will or estate plans:

  • With a Specific Bequest you may designate the amount of money or specific asset (property, securities, etc.) you wish to donate.
  • With a Percentage Bequest you may designate the percentage of your estate you want distributed to MicroFinancing Partners in Africa.
  • With a Residuary Bequest you may instruct that any remaining part of your estate be distributed to MPA after distributions are made to family, friends, etc.
  • With a Contingent Bequest you may instruct that MPA receive assets in the event that a beneficiary in your will is no longer living.

An IRA, 401(K), 403(b) or another qualified retirement plan has tax benefits for accumulating assets, but after death they may be subject to income and estate taxes. Gifting these accounts makes use of the full value of the assets. Please contact your retirement plan company to request a change in beneficiary designation if you would like to leave your retirement account to MPA. Our Federal Tax Exempt Number is #86-1171133.
