Much of what we support in Africa can’t happen without gracious volunteers that help us here in the US. We’re in constant need of volunteers to help:
Making a planned gift is a special way to support the mission of MicroFinancing Partners in Africa and to leave a lasting legacy “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” – Nelson Henderson. Bequests are one of the most common and easiest ways to leave a legacy gift. It is also a great way to reduce estate taxes. Your estate will receive an estate tax deduction for a portion of the gift made by the estate to charity. The following are ways to include MPA in your will or estate plans:
An IRA, 401(K), 403(b) or another qualified retirement plan has tax benefits for accumulating assets, but after death they may be subject to income and estate taxes. Gifting these accounts makes use of the full value of the assets. Please contact your retirement plan company to request a change in beneficiary designation if you would like to leave your retirement account to MPA. Our Federal Tax Exempt Number is #86-1171133.
To make a gift of stock, after informing your broker, please contact MPA for the necessary information to complete the transfer.
Honoring or remembering a loved one through a donation to MPA is an especially meaningful way of paying tribute to a special person. Select from a variety of impactful gifts to change a life in Africa.
Double your impact to those in need by checking with your employer if your gift is eligible to be matched. Please let us know what we can do to provide the necessary information to your employer.
Brainstorm with us on how we can work together to eliminate extreme poverty. Would your company sponsor an event, underwrite a project or other helpful ways to support MPA’s mission?
MPA visits partner projects 1-2 times each year. If you’re interested in traveling with MPA, please contact us!
